I didn’t know
Martin Sikes well at all…there are
many others who did and can speak about him in a way that is more meaningful. I did know him though; I knew him in University and we shared beers. I knew him through the various student associations we were involved in and I admired his intelligence and demeanor. As an entrepreneur I admired his gentle and creative nature, and ultimately his own remarkable achievements as a businessman. Most importantly - from afar - I admired (over the years) his ability to live his life out the way he wanted to (or at least it seemed that way). To those hurting today my heart is with you. For me, I’m sad he’s gone, even though I didn’t really know him.
